Imagine a busy working professional who is strenuously trying to achieve a healthy work-life balance all while improving their health, without losing their mind. Sound familiar? If you find yourself relying on a steady drip of coffee to get through your day and still wind up with brain fog and a crash that keeps you from an evening workout, you may want more than just a quick hit to keep you going. As someone in both the fitness and writing fields, I am no stranger to mental fatigue. Whether you’re juggling clients, Zoom calls, or carloads of soccer kids, life can be mentally and physically exhausting.
As someone who also avoids stimulants, I’ve searched high and low for a supplement that will truly support my health and energy levels, not just keep me artificially alive until bedtime. There’s been a lot of hype in recent years about the benefits of creatine, mostly within the fitness space. More recently, it’s been appearing in the self-care and productivity scenes as well. When I came across Mindbodygreen Creatine Brain+, I was skeptical, but interested. When deciding whether to add any supplement to my routine, I look for science, not fads.
After some research into creatine and Mindbodygreen’s specific product, I decided to give it a try. Now, I’m sharing my honest thoughts on whether the Creatine Brain+ is really worth adding to your daily routine. I’ll talk about the science of its ingredients, the claims the product makes, and the actual results it provides. Let’s jump in!

What is Creatine Brain+?

Creatine is a compound naturally made in the body, and can be found in meat, milk, and seafood. It helps provide energy to the muscles and brain in order to contract and work efficiently. Most people get half their creatine through diet, with the remainder being made in the body. But if you’re pushing hard at work or in the gym, you may benefit from a creatine supplement.
This is especially true if you’re exerting a lot of physical and mental energy throughout the day. Only about 5% of your daily creatine typically goes to the brain. The rest is given to the skeletal muscles for physical function. This isn’t ideal if your work or life is mentally taxing, since your brain heavily relies on creatine to perform mentally demanding tasks.
That fact was one of the primary reasons that I chose to try Creatine Brain+. As much as I wanted the physical benefits of creatine, I was looking for more support in the areas of mental fatigue and brain fog.
What Makes Creatine Brain+ Unique?
What makes the supplement unique is its focus on improving brain health, not just building muscular strength. This comes from its proprietary combination of ingredients, creatine and citicoline (under the trademarked name Cognizin).
Cognizin helps strengthen cognitive function pathways in the body. Research has shown that it supports mental energy and memory, and improves focus and attention. This is a big win if you need to be able to do deep work or focus on a big project. Although with improved memory, you’ll have fewer excuses for missing that super boring weekly meeting.
The combination of creatine and Cognizin drives home a solution for better brain health without the caffeine addiction, and will still help you get those gym gains you’ve been wanting.
Does Creatine Brain+ Give You Real Results?

The TL;DR – Yes.
Like pretty much any other (legal) supplement, it is not going to fix all of your problems, but it will help you think through them.
Creatine Brain+ is going to be the most effective when you use it daily or at least regularly. For me, changes were subtle as I started using it and then became more pronounced within a month of when I started using it.
The first place I began noticing it was at the gym. I was able to focus more easily on complex movements and felt more aware of my workout, with less desire to just “zone out.” This resulted in a better mind-muscle connection and has been steadily improving my workouts. Better physical health has also helped improve my work. There’s less anxiety, more deep work, and fewer vacations to distraction land.
The real benefits most users report from using Creatine Brain+ include:
- Clearer thinking
- Better focus during work blocks, especially when doing deep work
- Increased mental energy and tolerance for mental obstacles
- Subtle improvements in overall mood
- More energy later in the day (when used in the morning).
It works as a great accessory tool to reduce the effects of stress on the body and cultivate better mental health.
It is important to remember that this, or any other supplement, isn’t a substitute for other healthy behaviors like exercise, healthy eating, and rest. I like to think of it as a kick-starter, as you actively make progress toward a healthier lifestyle. Creatine Brain+ is not a stimulant, so it is not going to give you the rush of an energy drink. There’s no caffeine spike and no crash here. Just a sustainable amount of energy and concentration.
How Do I take Creatine Brain+ for the Best Results?
One of the best parts about Creatine Brain+ is how easy it is to use. You can get it in single search packets that are easy to mix into a bottle of water or your favorite drink on your way to work.
Different users will probably tell you different things, but I find that I like to take Creatine Brain+ in the morning. It seems to support healthier energy levels throughout the day. Others have mentioned that they prefer it around lunch time to specifically target afternoon energy crashes.
It comes in individual packets, which makes it super easy to take with you on the go. I keep mine in the box in my cupboard and stick one in my work and gym bags in case my morning routine goes haywire.
Something I haven’t mentioned yet is the flavors. Mindbodygreen keeps it simple here, and I honestly really love it. There are few things that I dislike more than walking into a GNC or Vitamin Shoppe and having supplements in dozens of flavors, half of which you know are going to be terrible. With their supplement, Mindbodygreen definitely took its time perfecting the supplement. It chose to keep flavors and all the additives they bring to a minimum, which is good news for us.
Creatine Brain+ is available in two flavors: Raspberry and Unflavored (if you consider that a flavor). I’ve tried both, and both are good. I love unflavored supplements because it makes them easy to mix into smoothies or protein drinks. The first time I tried it, I mixed it by itself in a bottle of water. I did notice a very slight texture difference, but I don’t ever expect any supplement to disappear completely. The texture change was super subtle, and it truly didn’t have a flavor.
I also tried mixing it into several other drinks, including a smoothie, clear whey protein, and powdered greens, and it combined well with each of them without changing the taste or texture of the drink. My personal favorite was mixing it with my greens powder. The raspberry one was equally good, and I actually kind of loved the flavor. It was mild and didn’t have the artificial taste that so many supplements have. Both were a win for me.
Short-term Benefits and Long-term Results

Consistency really matters more than timing. On Mindbodygreen’s website, they break down how long it takes to see results from Creatine Brain+:
- In 1 week, processing speed and working memory increase.
- In 4 weeks, there is a more noticeable increase in attention, exercise recovery, and mental clarity.
- In 6 weeks, mental energy and cognitive functioning increase, and muscle growth improves.
- In 12 weeks, overall memory and physical performance are improved.
Like any other healthy lifestyle modification, reaping the benefits of Creatine Brain+ will take time. But the small amount of effort that goes into mixing and drinking it every day has big payoffs in short and long-term brain health.

Who wouldn’t want to have a better memory and cognitive functioning? Creatine Brain+ is a great fit for anyone looking to improve their health, especially:

Creatine Brain+ in the Long Term: Will I Keep Using It?
Creatine Brain+ honestly exceeded my expectations. There are so many supplements out there that it’s easy to jump from one to the next, but few earn a permanent place in the cupboard. This supplement is one of them. I love that it combines physical and mental benefits into one and does so in a sustainable, supportive way, rather than perpetuating high-stimulant products. Even though it is a supplement that does best when taken daily, it was so easy to mix and tasty to drink that it removed a lot of the barriers that come with daily supplements. If you’re looking to up your brain game, Creatine Brain+ is the way to go.
